anna ruh.
i walked into my first power yoga class in 2004, and despite my insistence that yoga wasn't really for me, that first practice created a shift. i loved the strong, dynamic postures and the focus on moving the body powerfully with the breath. i'd always enjoyed really vigorous workouts and martial arts and was one of those people who thought yoga was too "boring" and "easy" - but this style of yoga gave me exactly what i was looking for. power yoga challenges me mentally and physically every time i get on my mat...it also leaves me feeling more calm, playful and comfortable in my own skin.
my intention is to teach (and live) with purpose, enthusiasm and love. i am honored to be a certified baptiste power vinyasa yoga teacher and share my ongoing training with Baron with our community in Sonoma County.
teri kari.
teri came to yoga through a desire to supplement her running regimen with some strength and flexibility work...she found a lot more than she ever thought possible. she loved how the practice made her feel physically and mentally, but she soon realized that it had also opened her up to her life!
a nurse for many years, teri is keenly interested in the mind/body connection and the role it plays in our well-being. her intention as a teacher is to share the many gifts that yoga has given her. teri completed Level 1 training with Baron Baptiste in 2009.
